Jewellery often carries far more than monetary value, it holds memories, milestones and family stories. Whether you’re clearing a loved one’s home or sorting inherited jewellery, I understand this can feel overwhelming.
At Opal & Ivy Jewellery, I offer a personal, caring and respectful approach to jewellery house clearances. I don’t just look for gold or silver; I see the potential in vintage, costume and broken jewellery that others may overlook. Every collection is treated with honesty, compassion and the care it deserves.
My aim is simple. I give beautiful jewellery a second chance and make the process as straightforward as possible. If you’d like an informal conversation about a jewellery collection, I’d be delighted to help.
Sorting through a jewellery collection can be one of the most emotional and overwhelming parts of clearing a home. Whether you’re dealing with inherited jewellery following the loss of a loved one, helping a family member downsize, or simply have a collection that is no longer wanted, I understand that every piece has a story and deserves to be treated with care and respect.
At Opal & Ivy Jewellery, I take a different approach. I don’t simply look for precious metals or gemstones. Costume jewellery, vintage pieces, broken necklaces, single earrings, pearls, beads and unusual finds can all have value and potential. My aim is always to rescue as much as possible and give forgotten jewellery a second chance.
Every enquiry is handled personally, with honesty, sensitivity and complete discretion. There is no pressure or obligation, just a friendly conversation about whether I may be able to help.
Unlike businesses that focus on scrap value, I look at every jewellery collection as a whole. Many pieces that others overlook can be lovingly cleaned, restored, repurposed or redesigned into jewellery that can be treasured once again.
This approach preserves craftsmanship and memories. It also reduces unnecessary waste. I believe beautiful jewellery should continue to be worn and enjoyed rather than forgotten in a drawer or sent to landfill.
My passion is finding hidden potential in jewellery that others may no longer see value in. Every rescued piece becomes part of a much bigger story, helping create something beautiful for someone new while honouring its past.
Opal & Ivy Jewellery was created with a simple belief: that forgotten jewellery deserves another chance to be loved. Every necklace, bracelet, brooch and bead that I rescue has the potential to become part of somebody else’s story.
This mission goes beyond jewellery alone. Every collection I purchase or receive helps support my long-term dream of creating a forever home for rescued farm animals. By choosing Opal & Ivy, you’re not only giving beautiful jewellery a second life, you’re also helping move that dream one step closer to becoming a reality.
If you’d like to discuss a jewellery collection or simply find out whether I may be able to help, I’d be delighted to hear from you. Every conversation is treated with kindness, honesty and complete respect.
The process is designed to be straightforward, respectful and completely transparent. Simply get in touch by phone or email and tell me a little about your jewellery collection. If possible, sending a few photographs beforehand is always helpful and allows me to assess whether the collection is likely to be suitable.
If I believe I can help, we can arrange a convenient time to meet or discuss collection options. Every collection is assessed fairly and honestly, and I’ll always explain my reasoning clearly if I decide that it’s not the right fit for Opal & Ivy.
To ensure I can give every customer the time and attention they deserve, I don’t offer free valuations where there is no intention to sell or donate. My focus is on helping people who are genuinely looking for a new home for their jewellery.
With love, Sally
